During the summer of 2007, thirty two 300-L acrylic tanks on movable fibreglass frame were produced for the cultivation of Laminaria saccharina sporophytes.
- Lower frame made of fiberglass beams covered with 1” thick fiberglass grate. 1” fiberglass hedges, 4 x 316 SS wheels with breakes, Seawater resistant SS wrought eye bolts for light fixtures. As low as possible.
- Upper frame: same as lower frame except for: about 5.5 times taller than lower frame. Detachable beams on each side to fasten client’s light fixture above the tank. Seawater resistant SS wrought eye bolts. No wheels.
- 300 L hand made aquarium with 1/2” acrylic, floor with a hole for draining, valve and flexible hose; liquid acrylic is poured on the bottom on two sides to create a gentle slope towards the center of the tank. Test with water. Lids
